This inter-laboratory performance test is provided to facilitate harmonization and standardization in whole genome sequencing and data analysis, with the aim to produce comparable data
One of the tasks in WP2 of COMPARE is to conduct a Proficiency Test (PT). The PT represents an important tool for the evaluation and production of reliable laboratory results of consistently good quality within the area of DNA preparation, sequencing, and analysis (e.g. clustering).
To accomplish this task efficiently, COMPARE has worked with the Global Microbial Identifier (GMI) network to open the GMI PT 2015 to COMPARE participants. The GMI PT 2015 covers next-generation sequencing with a focus on the analysis of Salmonella, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
Sign-up for the GMI PT 2015 is now open. Please follow the link to the GMI PT 2015 page (http://www.globalmicrobialidentifier.org/Workgroups/About-the-GMI-Proficiency-Test-2015), and sign-up to participate.
If you have any questions about the GMI PT 2015, you can address them to Susanne Karlsmose Pedersen (suska@food.dtu.dk).
