To what extent does the nullification of the Safe Harbor Framework affect the COMPARE consortium?

The European Court of Justice declared the European Commission’s Decision 200/520/EC of July 25 2000 as invalid. Decision 200/520/EC, also known as the Safe Harbor Framework (SHF), was instituted to bridge the differences in data protection and privacy between Europe (EU) and the United States (US).

Members of the COMPARE Consortium have reviewed the decision to answer the question: 'To what extent does the nullification of the Safe Harbor Framework affect the COMPARE consortium?'

The opinion paper on the subject is available to COMPARE Consortium members via the COMPARE Share Site, under WP12 Barriers.
