This inter-laboratory performance test is provided to facilitate harmonization and standardization in whole genome sequencing and data analysis, with the aim to produce comparable data.
One of the tasks in WP2 of COMPARE is to conduct a Proficiency Test (PT). The PT represents an important tool for the evaluation and production of reliable laboratory results of consistently good quality within the area of DNA preparation, sequencing, and analysis (e.g. clustering).
Currently, the PT 2015 is in progress, focusing on testing the quality of sequencing bacteria and DNA hereof as well as cluster analysis on sets of genomes. Data from the PT will be available for analysis in the autumn of 2015.
Sign-up for the GMI PT 2015 is now closed.
