Responsible Technology (RT) is a strategic consultancy devoted to Responsible Research and Innovation. “Responsible Research and Innovation is a transparent, interactive process by which societal actors and innovators become mutually responsive to each other with a view to the (ethical) acceptability, sustainability and societal desirability of the innovation process and its marketable products (in order to allow a proper embedding of scientific and technological advances in our society)” (Von Schomberg, 2011). The company has been incorporated as a Société par actions simplifiée (SAS, "simplified joint-stock company”) under the French law and it is based in Paris. RT supports its clients in creating innovation, which is profitable, but also ethically acceptable, economically sustainable, and socially desirable, by adding to technology, process, market, and supply, “relevant functionality, which allows to do more good than before”. RT is member of the Mouvement des entrepreneurs sociaux (Mouves) and member of the Global Compact France.
