Civic Consulting is a Berlin-based economic and public policy consultancy supporting European and international institutions, as well as national governments, through policy evaluation and economic research, including cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis. We have special expertise in the areas of animal health and public risk management. As a framework contractor of the Directorate-General for Health and Consumers of the European Commission (DG SANCO) since 2005, we lead the Food Chain Evaluation Consortium, which has conducted more than 30 EU-wide economic and policy studies concerning specific aspects of the food chain for DG SANCO, including the evaluation of the Community Animal Health Policy, the EU rapid response network, and the network of EU reference laboratories. We have also conducted several economic studies in the animal health field for the OIE and the OECD.
